Attend Columbia State Community College's College for a Day: Community College Experience workshop on Saturday, May 31, from 8:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
The event will be held in the Clement Building, Ledbetter Auditorium, on the Columbia campus.

"In order to be successful in college, it is important that we get the message out to students in eighth grade and early ninth grade," said Christa Martin, Columbia State's assistant to the president, access and diversity.
"The goal of College for a Day is to get students thinking about themselves as future college students and keep them engaged in learning through innovative teaching and small group learning activities."
The sessions will assist students with time management, organizational skills, and career planning. Additionally, the workshop will help parents and guardians to understand what is needed to create a successful college plan.
