The Marshall County Memorial Library's "Starship Adventure" summer reading program will kick off Thursday, June 5, at 10 a.m. and run through June 26.
Program details will be explained thoroughly by the staff at the June 5 kickoff. There will be weekly prizes. Participating children must be present to win.
The Starship Adventure schedule is:
-- June 5, The Mad Scientist
-- June 12, Robert Jackson will speak
-- June 19, Bruce Amato, the magician
-- June 26, Blue Grass Regional Library and mary Campbell from the Health Department.
All programs begin at 10 a.m.
For the month of July the library will hold story time for the Bouncing Babies as well as an open-to-all-ages story time, "Reaching for the Stars," in which children will keep track of their reading (or being read to) on a log and receive buttons or badges.
The time for this continuing program will be 10 a.m. Thursdays in the month of July with a special ending on July 31.
