Mason Accepted at Vanderbilt

Kristein Yvonne Mason has been accepted by Vanderbilt University. The selection process for the fall of 2008 freshman class was the most competitive in Vanderbilt's history.

Kristein is graduating from Marshall County High School as valedictorian. In addition to numerous academic awards, she has earned scholarship awards from Vanderbilt, the Marshall County NAACP, the Altruist Club, and Marshall Medical Center Volunteers. She plans to become an anesthesiologist.

Kristein is the daughter of Walter and DeShawn Ewing and the late April Mason. She is the granddaughter of Annie Esther Mason.
