MAY

30 The Marshall County Solid Waste Committee will be touring the Lawrence County Transfer and Recycling Facility on Friday, May 30. For more information, call Morgan Thomas at 359-0547.

31 The NAACP is hosting an End of School Bash, starting at noon on Saturday, May 31, at Rock Creek Park, Lewisburg. There will be games, prizes, free food, and music.

The Town of Petersburg will hold a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. Monday, June 9, in the Town Hall, to consider a request for re-zoning. The regular meeting of the Town of Petersburg Board of Mayor and Aldermen will immediately follow the public hearing.

11 The Chapel Hill Youth Football League monthly board meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, at the Chapel Hill Fire Hall. The meeting is open to the public and will be followed by the FINAL registration for players and cheerleaders from 7:30 to 8 p.m., also at the Fire Hall.

5The Marshall County Chamber of Commerce and WAXO Radio and TV present "Marshall's Got Talent" at noon Saturday, July 5, at the Lewisburg Recreation Center. Winners will perform that night at the Miss Marshall County Pageant. There will also be a Baby Contest, starting at 8 a.m. Saturday, July 5.
