Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Edward Roddy, Sr. of Murfreesboro are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Miriam Elizabeth Roddy, to Brent Cameron Ward, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Dean Ward of Lewisburg.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Aaron Claude and the late Bessie Isabell Parker of Lascassas, and of Charles Edward Roddy and the late Lucy Jean Roddy of Hartsville. Miriam graduated from Murfreesboro's Oakland High School in 2000, and from Middle Tennessee State University in 2005. She will receive her law degree from the Nashville School of Law in May 2009. She is currently employed as a law clerk for Judge Davenport in Murfreesboro.
The future bridegroom is the grandson of Thelma Louise Ward and the late Troy Ward of Rutledge, and JoAnn Helen Sikorski and the late Theodore John Sikorski, Jr. of South Bend, Indiana. Brent is a 1998 graduate of Marshall County High School. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville in 2006. Brent majored in mathematics, with a minor in computer science and Latin, and currently works for Dell, Inc. in Murfreesboro.
The couple will be married on June 21, 2008, at the North Boulevard Church of Christ in Murfreesboro. After a honeymoon in Jamaica, they will reside in Murfreesboro.
