Thanks to the Tribune for advertising the Second Sunday Gospel Singing hosted by the Catalpa Church of Christ, June 8 at 2 p.m. in "Briefs." This is a great service every week telling us all of the events coming up. I have many tell me they don't have time to read the paper so they miss out on what's happening.

I guess being able to write this column telling about the events taking place when I know about them is why I have enjoyed the past 60 years writing the Catalpa News. If I have helped folks with my writing according to a song I love so well, "Then my living has not been in vain."
