BELL BUCKLE -- The Tennessee Fire Service and Codes Enforcement Academy is pleased to announce the addition of Linda M. Lichtenberger as the new program director of codes enforcement.

With more than 20 years of experience in building codes, management and enforcement, Lichtenber-ger is an active member of the Tennessee Building Officials Association. In 2007, she was elected as the president of the Middle Tennessee Code Officials Association. She is a member of the International Code Council.

"We are very excited for Linda to join our team and staff at the Academy," said Leslie Newman, State Fire Marshal and Commission-er for the State of Tennes-see Department of Com-merce. "She will be expanding course offerings to code officials across the state and providing the necessary training as communities adopt updated codes."

Lichtenberger's previous employment includes the City of Murfreesboro Codes Department, Rutherford County Building Codes and the Department of Building Codes for Metro Nashville.
