Retired teachers schoalrship recipients

The Marshall County Retired Teachers Association met on Thursday, June 5, at the Cornersville Church of Christ. The meeting was hosted by CB&S Bank and Pam Goldman, president of the bank, welcomed the teachers and guests.

Hickory House of Pulaski catered the delicious lunch. Ken Willis, of the Cornersville Church of Christ, gave the devotional and prayer. Betty Woodford, the MCRTA scholarship chairman, introduced and congratulated the $1,000 scholarship winners. They are, from left, Sarah Barnett, Cornersville High School; Kaitlin Tindell, Marshall County High School; and Micah Phifer, Forrest High School.

Three new members -- Gaye Wilson, Peggy Warden and Pat Jent -- were introduced by Carol Helton. MRCTA has received a certificate of distinction with high honors from the state. Mildred Van Horn resigned from the treasurer's position and will be replaced by Lucy Fay Hinds. The meeting ended with door prizes.
