First place winner in the championship flight with a score of 55 was the First Farmers & Merchants Bank team of Barry White, Shelby White, Brent McClay and Mason Sellers.

More than 120 golfers participated in the 12th Annual James R. Moon Columbia State Foundation Golf Classic, presented by Waste Management, Inc, at Saddle Creek Golf Course in Lewisburg on June 5.

More than $15,000 was raised for scholarships for Marshall County students to attend Columbia State's Lewisburg Campus.

First place winner in the first flight with a score of 60 was the National Bridle Shop team of Bobby Beech, Roy Lambert, David Landrum and Jay Luna.

"In the past eleven years, the James R. Moon Golf Benefit has enabled us to provide more than $100,000 in scholarships for Marshall County students attending the Columbia State's Lewisburg Campus," said Elizabeth McDow, Director of Columbia State's Lewisburg Campus.

First place winner in the second flight with a score of 65 was the Marshall County Bar Association team of Drew Davidson, Bill Haywood, Steve Bowden and J.B. Cox.
