The state tournament in Morristown, beginning July 12 is the next stop for the team that has all the potential to capture the title.
Eleven year old Taylor "Franklin" Wolaver, making her All-Star debut, turned in a complete game gem Friday night, allowing zero earned runs in the circle to start the big weekend.
Another eleven year old, Bayley Dowers, also making her first All-Star appearance, capped the sweep on Saturday with a dominating nine strikeout, one walk win to send the stars east to Morristown.
Marshall County scored first when Wolaver drew a one out walk in the opening inning. Kiyoko Puca came in to run for Wolaver, stole second, went to third on a wild pitch and scored on an RBI single by Mecia Reed.
