Commission, school board seats at stake

Two special elections for County Commission and three races for seats on the School Board are to be decided Thursday by voters in five of the county's nine districts.

Tomorrow is election day in Marshall County, Chapel Hill and across the state. Voters will be nominating party candidates for legislative offices and electing aldermen, county commissioners, school board members, assessors and judges.

Election polls are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. A total of 374 voters locally cast early ballots. Early voting ended Saturday. There are 17,278 registered voters in Marshall County.
