Campaigning for Kenneth
Lewisburg and Farmington were where Toni Eaton spent her summers during those formative years of youth after childhood innocence and before adult responsibility.
She remembers being paid 25 cents for a day's work at Redford's five-and-dime on the public square and then spending it on a Coke float.
"Because we were kids, they only charged us a quarter," she says.
The daughter of Tom and Ruth Helmick Pugh is now Mrs. Kenneth Eaton. Her husband is one of six candidates for the Democratic Party's nomination to run for the U.S. Senate against Lamar Alexander in November.
