IDB seeks to recover PILOT funds

A factory in Lewisburg that received a property tax break has been found in default of its contract with the city.

As a result the city's Industrial Development Board has voted to request payment of what otherwise would have been an annual debt.

How much money is at stake is to be determined by at least two people: IDB Attorney Bob Binkley, who explained the situation with Southern Heritage Shutters to the board on Monday, and Marshall County Property Assessor Linda Haislip, the official with records on property values.
