While the courts gave the School Board 30 days to name a new negotiating team for work contract talks with the Marshall County Education Association, the teachers' group plans to take its time in selecting a successor for a negotiator who retired since the last bargaining session.
MCEA President Colin Beatty, a Spanish language teacher at Marshall County High School, says that the association hasn't fully discussed how and when it will select a successor to Katie Harris, but members might attend the negotiating sessions and among that group there may be someone willing to serve.
