For the second consecutive Friday night, the Forrest Rockets suffered a heartbreaking loss in the waning moments when it seemed like they were poised to take a major step towards the TSSAA playoffs by defeating a ranked team and region rival.
Last week, Forrest lost 22-20 to number three ranked Jo Byrns on an interception with 48.5 seconds left. Friday night in Wartrace, the Rockets fumbled the ball at the 25-yard line with 1:33 left in the ballgame after mounting a furious second half comeback, eventually losing to Cascade 24-23.
