Police Chief Forbis gives tips to AARP
By Karen Hall
Lewisburg Chief of Police Chuck Forbis was introduced to the AARP this week at their meeting in the First United Methodist Church's Fellowship Hall, and used the occasion to give them some tips for preventing identity theft and maintaining the security of their homes.
Wayne Coomes, former police chief, made the introduction, saying that he retired in 2005 so that Lewisburg could find a chief who was "better looking and younger." There were 29 applications for the job, but Forbis "stood out head and shoulders above the other applicants."
