The Marshall County High School bowling teams traveled to the Spring Hill to take on the Raiders Monday at Columbia's Galaxy Lanes, splitting the matches with the Maury County school.
The Tigerettes were more relaxed this week and had some great games. Junior Janiece Cathey bowled 160, 184, and 175 to win two of her points. Freshman Miranda Cheeves won all three of her points, rolling a 139, 150, and 162. Both girls are first year bowlers for head coach Robbie Giles.
Junior Ashley Hunt had a 129, 192 and 146 to win two of her points to round out the scoring as the Tigerettes took the win, 17-10.
The boys bowled some great games but it wasn't enough to take the match. Junior Anthony Walker bowled an outstanding 202, 191, and 214, winning a close match by just one point. Sophomore Trevor Toseland bowled 174, 161, and 157 but could not pull out any points from the match. JJ Parham, I his second year on the squad won two of his points, bowling a 163, 127, and 147.
The effort was not enough and the Tigers fell to Spring Hill 19- 8.
