The Marshall County High School bowling team hosted Spring Hill on Thursday, Nov. 20, coming away with a split.
The Tigerettes took on the Lady Raiders and made a statement, rolling over the girls from Maury County 19-8. With their fifth straight win, the Tigerettes solidified their hold on first place in District 8.
Freshman Miranda Cheeves was high series holder, pulling three great games of 169, 148 and 169 for a very strong 486 total. Junior Ashley Hunt went 169, 164, and 149 for a pin fall total of 482. Junior Janiece Cathey won all three of her points, rolling a 128, 144, and 154 for a nice 426 series.
The Tigers moved to 2-3 on the season, losing 19-8 to the Raiders.
Sophomore Trevor Toseland led the way for the Tigers, bowling a 190, 158, and 205 for a solid 553 series. Junior Anthony Walker bowled another great match with a 146, 212, 191 for a 549 pin fall total. Junior JJ Ford struggled his second game but managed to win two of his points bowling a 193, 98, and 181, totaling a 472 series.
MCHS is back in action after Thanksgiving when they take on Santa Fe, Wednesday, Dec. 3 in Columbia at 3:30 p.m.
