Double trouble for Small woman

A Petersburg woman could be in more trouble after being arrested earlier this month, according to reports on file at the Lewisburg Police Department.

Charlene L. Small, 35, of Twin Springs Road was arrested Dec. 2 by Detective Santiago McKlean on charges of forgery, criminal impersonation, and theft under $500 for obtaining 90 hydrocodone tablets, valued at $41.09, from the Kroger Pharmacy in Lewisburg, public records show.

Small was booked at the Marshall County Jail where she was released on a bond of $7,000.

Less than two weeks later, Dec. 15, Small's aunt came to the Lewisburg Police Department and spoke with Officer Amanda Newcomb who reported that Alice Minor, 56, of 8th Avenue South, said "her niece Charlene Small called Verizon Wireless and paid her bill using Ms. Minor's checking account numbers."

Minor told the officer that Small did not have permission to use the account numbers.

"I advised Ms. Minor a report would be on file and how to obtain a warrant," Newcomb wrote to conclude her report.
