Another Cornersville resident was arrested last week in connection with the marijuana growing operation that was featured on the front page of last Friday's Tribune.

Jon C. Freeland, 43, of Cornersville was arrested on Friday, Jan. 23, at 4:21 p.m. by Deputy Greg Levi of the Marshall County Sheriff's Department. Freeland was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and manufacture of a schedule VI drug. His bond was set at $21,000 and his court date is Feb. 3.

Levi's report recounts the events earlier in the week that led up to a warrant being issued for Freeland's arrest: "On Jan. 20, agents of the 17th Judicial District Drug Task Force and officers of the Cornersville Police Department conducted a consensual search of 610 South Main Street which is the residence of Jon C. Freeland and Erin Becktold. During that search officers found and seized 19 marijuana plants, indoor grow equipment and some harvested marijuana."
