NASHVILLE -- Gov. Phil Bredesen this week appointed 36 Tennesseans to serve on 12 boards and commissions, including some Marshall County leaders.
Named in an announcement issued Wednesday were Larry E. Jones and Olen Lee Morrison, both of Lewisburg, and William Lee Brown and I.A. "Allan" Howard, both of Manchester.
All four were appointed to the Tennessee Duck River Development Agency.
"I ... want to commend all those appointed for their readiness to serve the state through its boards and commissions," Bredesen said. "Tennesseans have always been known to give of their time and talents to serve their fellow citizens, and I thank these men and women for sharing in this tradition."
