The Forrest Lady Rockets were not taking anything for granted versus East Robertson, winning in convincing style 67-41 in the first round of the Region 5-A Tournament in Chapel Hill.

Forrest came out focused and ready to play ball from the opening tip in their first game in eight days and first at home since Jan. 27.

A first quarter boost from seniors Bequi Bussell and Summer Waggoner got the Lady Rockets off and running to a 14-4 lead and a smothering man-to-man press in the second period kicked Forrest into overdrive for a 36-12 lead at the half.

Waggoner would finish the ballgame with a team high 17 points with her last bucket on a twisting lay-up in the lane at the 1:44 mark of the fourth period putting her over the 1,000 point mark for her career.
