CHS, Forrest both fall

It's been a magical year for all three Marshall County girls' basketball teams. But on Wednesday, the magic finally ran out.

Forrest and Cornersville both lost their games in the Class A state quarterfinals at MTSU's Murphy Center. Forrest fell to unbeaten Clarkrange 56-39, right after Cornersville lost 49-40 to Hampton.

Forrest finished its season 29-4; Cornersville was 27-7. The other county team, Marshall County, suffered its only loss of the season in a region semifinal to Hume-Fogg.
