Tigerette head coach Lee Perryman said, "It is always a tough game versus Chapel Hill. All the girls have played together and against each other for such a long time. We put some hits together today and came out on top."
Austyn Whaley was the heroine at the plate and in the circle for Perryman's Tigerettes. Whaley hurled a complete game, giving up seven hits and striking out ten batters. At the dish, Whaley drove home the game winning run on a bases loaded two-run single in the fifth inning that sealed the deal for LMS.
"Austyn did a great job in the circle today. She struck some players out when I needed her to," said Perryman after the contest.
