Over 200 people enjoyed a fish fry in Lewisburg last Friday.
The Marshall County Chamber of Commerce has held a spring fish fry for the past five years to raise money for the Chamber's expenses. Last year's fish fry, in Rock Creek Park, was hurt by bad weather, so this year the Chamber determined to choose an indoor venue.
The Family Life Center at the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church was their pick for 2009.
"We were pleased with the turn out," said executive director Ritaanne Weaver.
Russell Catering provided the catfish, fries, hush puppies, and slaw, plus their famous pies for desert.
Chamber member businesses provided door prizes and a good time was had by all.
The next Chamber event is the Nine and Dine golf tournament on Friday May 1. For more information, contact Tommy Bowles at 270-6006.
