Mildred Lucille Thompson
Mildred Lucille Thompson, 87, of Lewisburg, died Friday, April 17, 2009, in NHC Lewisburg.
Mrs. Thompson was a native of Capshaw, Ala. She was a homemaker and member of the Parkview Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph P. and Mattie Smith Cantrell; husband, Robert Alton Thompson Sr.; five sisters; eight brothers; and one grandchild.
She is survived by two sons, Robert Alton "Bobby" (Joan) Thompson Jr. and Billy Wayne (Becki) Thompson, all of Lewisburg; sister, Cathryn Wells of Athens, Ala.; and brother, Robert Cantrell of Lawton, Okla.; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, April 19, from the chapel of London Funeral Home, followed by burial in Lone Oak Cemetery.
Johnny "J.D." Wilson, 63, of Arnold Road, Flintville, died Thursday, April 16, 2009.
Mr. Wilson was an electrician and plumber, and was a 20-year veteran of the U.S. Army and Navy, serving during the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Harwell and Lois Anne Hunt Wilson.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Wilson of Flintville; daughters, Lisa Clark and Connie Wilson, both of Lewisburg, and Sandra Wilson of Petersburg; stepdaughters, Rhonda Woodard of Flintville, Misty Wilson of Lewisburg, and Darlena Farrar of Troy, Va.; sisters, Tammy Garrett and Shirley Metcalf, both of Petersburg, and Debbie Hastings of Shelbyville; nine grandchildren; 10 stepgrandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
