An American Red Cross blood drive will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, at Marshall Medical Center, 1080 North Ellington Pkwy, Lewisburg.

There will be a special called meeting of the Marshall County Board of Education at 5 p.m Thursday, April 30, at the Central Office, 700 Jones Circle, Lewisburg. The Budget Committee will meet immediately after the meeting.

The Cedar Grove Cemetery Committee will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 30, at the Ransom Chapel Church, to discuss business pertaining to the cemetery.

The Rock Creek Bible Society will hold its 195th consecutive meeting, starting at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 2, at the Bethbirei Presbyterian Church. The preacher will be Jeff Eason; music will be provided by Alva Cavnar; and a potluck lunch will be served.

The Forrest High School baccalaureate will be held at 9 a.m. Sunday, May 10, at the school's auditorium with Katie Harris as the guest speaker.

The Marshall County Solid Waste Committee will meet and host an open house at 9 a.m. Monday, May 11, at the Solid Waste Office, 230 College Street Suite 160, Lewisburg. The purpose of the meeting will be to celebrate the success of the city's curbside recycling program, to tour the recycling facility, and to inspect the new baler and sort line.
