Myrtle Stonecypher, 93, of Chapel Hill, formerly of Santa Maria, Calif., died Friday, April 24, 2009, in Columbia.
Mrs. Stonecypher was a native of Knoxville. She was a faithful member of the Jehovah's Witnesses since her baptism in 1980, and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob Stonecypher.
She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Thomas of Chapel Hill; sister, Helen Longmire, and brother, Jake Gentry, both of Knoxville; three grandchildren, Sherri Blandino, Katrina Falline and Ernie Evans III; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 2, from the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Lewisburg.
