To further protect Marshall County residents from dangerous weather, the director of the county's Emergency Management Agency has announced that two corporations are cooperating with government agencies to publicize the importance of a weather radio and help weather radio owners get their radios tuned into the frequency best suited for this area.

Tuesday, May 12 will be Weather Radio Day at the Kroger grocery in Lewisburg where WTVF Channel 5 Nashville will have a representative, according to Marshall County Emergency Management Director Bob Hopkins who said that people with weather radios will be able to get them programmed from 4-7 p.m. Programming will be provided by Hopkins' office, local firefighters, police, sheriff's deputies and Marshall County Ham Radio Operators.
