Bertie Jett Collins

Bertie Jett Collins, 94, of Pulaski, died Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at NHC Healthcare in Pulaski.

Visitation was Wednesday afternoon at Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home.

Funeral Service were Thursday afternoon in the Chapel of Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home with Bros. Jeff Jenkins and Wayne Pagel officiating.

Burial follows in Maplewood Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to benefit Fairview Church of Christ, Pulaski.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Hollis A. Collins; parents, Johnnie T. Jett and Jennie Mai Doggett Collins; sister, Irene Pinkston; brother, Jack Jett; and granddaughter, Linda Gail Collins.

She is survived by: her son, Billy W. Collins and his wife, Rhonda of Elkton; granddaughter, Carol Reedy and her husband Scott of Pulaski; granddaughter, Lori Balch and her husband Clayton of Alabama; great granddaughters, Emma, Melanie and Laura; sister, Margaret Jane Whitehead of Nevada; and several nieces and nephews.

Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

George Delwyn Ray

George Delwyn Ray, 77, of Lewisburg, died Tuesday, May 12, 2009 in St. Thomas Hospital.

Ray was a native of Marshall County and a son of the late George Andrew and Bertha Ketchum Ray.

He served his country in the U.S. Air Force, was a retired truck driver and a member of the Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Sidney Ray.

He is survived by his wife, Bettye Jean Burrow Ray of Lewisburg; son, Billy Ray of Murfreesboro; two daughters, Susan (Kelly) Lane and Kristy Cashion both of Lewisburg; four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two brothers, Phillip Ray of Murfreesboro and Doug Ray of Chicago.

Graveside services were conducted Thursday morning in Beechwood Cemetery.

Visitation was at Cornersville Funeral Home on Wednesday evening.

Cornersville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Sara Lorene Wilson

Sara Lorene Wilson, 78, of Lewisburg, died Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at her home.

Wilson was a native of Marshall County and a daughter of the late Shelby and Sarah Estelle Hamlin Clendenning. She was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her son, James Edward Blackwell; husband, James William Wilson; two sisters, Mareli Tipper of Lewisburg, and Wanda Prough of Georgia; and two brothers, Marshall Clendenning and Wayne Clendenning both of Georgia.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of London Funeral Home with burial to follow in Lone Oak Cemetery.

The family will be at London Funeral Home Friday from 4-8:00 p.m. for visitation.
