Micheal Willis Jett
Micheal Willis Jett, 53, of Lewisburg, died Saturday, May 23, 2009, at his residence.
Mr. Jett was a native of Marshall County. He was employed in construction.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Isabel Whitsell Jett; grandmother, Kate Whitsell; brother, Ricky Jett; and sister, Melissa Jamison.
He is survived by his daughters, Tessa Jett Singleton of Cornersville and Tracy Jett Brock of Columbia; three grandchildren, Micheal Owens and Alyssa Brock, both of Columbia, and Jake Singleton of Cornersville; step-granddaughter Jamey Singleton of Cornersville; brother, Danny Ray Jett of Petersburg; sisters, Diane Wright, Teresa King, and Rhonda White, all of Lewisburg, and Sandra Hargrove of the Wheel Community; three nephews and five nieces.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, May 26, from the chapel of Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home with Donnie Singleton officiating, followed by burial in Sunset Park.
Sherry D. Tallman
Sherry D. Tallman of Cornersville died Friday, May 22, 2009, at Vanderbilt Medical Center.
Mrs. Tallman was a native of Decatur, Ala. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist church.
She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene "Gene" Hughes.
She is survived by her mother, Marjorie Robinson Hughes of Scottsboro, Ala.; husband, James "Bill" Tallman of Cornersville; son, Donald Lee Bryant of Nashville; sister, Rita Arnold of Scottsboro, Ala.; and a very dear friend, Betty Grider of Hazel Green, Ala.
Funeral services were conducted on Monday, May 25, from the chapel of Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home with Brother Buddy Pope officiating, followed by burial in Short Cemetery.

Robbie Lynn Sowell
Robbie Lynn Sowell, 85, died Friday May 22, 2009, following an extended illness.
Mrs. Sowell was a native of Petersburg. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Claborne Crabtree and Ella Lorene Ervin Crabtree; husband, Roy Bredell Sowell; son, Charlie Arthur Sowell; and sister, Sara Virginia Sullivan.
She is survived by her daughters, Judy and Pamela Sowell, both of Fayettville; sisters, Dorothy Evelyn Hastings of Petersburg and Lillian Myra Hastings of Lewisburg; brother, Thomas Collins Crabtree of Fayettville; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, May 23, from the chapel of Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home, followed by burial in Talley Cemetery. There was no visitation.

Thomas Wayne Chapman
Thomas Wayne Chapman, 70, of Lewisburg, died Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at Williamson Medical Center.
Mr. Chapman was a native of Maury County who had served his country in the National Guard. He retired from ICP and was an elder of the Mooresville Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Haynes and Katie Lee Davis Chapman; son, Thomas Clay Chapman; and sister, Nancy Beard.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Dugger Chapman; daughter, Lynn (Bruce) Brown of Cary, N.C.; brother, James Davis Chapman of Lewisburg; grandson, Thomas Lee (Jamie) Chapman of Lewisburg; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted by Vinton Morgan on Friday, May 22, from Westvue Church of Christ, followed by burial in Friendship Cemetery.
The pallbearers were Joe Beard, Rollie Beard, David Hobby, Mark Hobby, Gary Hobby, Donald Dugger, Sammie Beard, Marty Tyree, Chris Dugger, Edward Andrews, Casey Dugger, Robby Dugger, Scott Dugger, Darrell Alexander, and Tim Dugger

Arliss Haislip, 51, of Petersburg, died Sunday, May 24, 2009, at his residence.
Mr. Haislip was a native of Marshall County and worked for Jim Harden Construction.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Nannie Lee McCory Haislip.
He is survived by his father, John Frank Haislip of Petersburg; six sisters, Glaphery Haislip, Debra Brown and Sherry McCue, all of Petersburg, June Lynch of Unionville, Gail Long of Shelbyville, and Zeldra Buchanan of Howell; and five brothers, Atlee Haislip and Horace "Naybob" Haislip, both of Lewisburg, Tommy Haislip and Gary Haislip, both of Petersburg, and Frankie Haislip of Fayetteville.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, from the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with Paul Ray King II officiating, followed by burial in Talley Cemetery.
