Daniel Albarran of Chapel Hill, son of David Albarran and Teresa Edwards, has been named to the Maryville College Dean's List for the 2009 spring semester. Albarran, who graduated from Forrest High School in 2006, is majoring in biochemistry.

The Marshall County School System will hold new student registration on Tuesday, July 28, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This is for students who were not enrolled in Marshall County schools last year. Kindergarten through sixth grade students who will attend a Lewisburg school will register at the Central Office, 700 Jones Circle, Lewisburg; all others will register at their respective schools. Students who are transferring from Lewisburg to Cornersville or Chapel Hill or the opposite will also need to register. If you have questions, contact the Central Office at 359-1581 or the school.
Nominations started Monday, June 15, for the Farm Service Agency Committee serving Lewisburg, Berlin, Verona and Mooresville.
