Obituary: James W. Clifford

James W. Clifford, 79, of Lewisburg, died on Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at NHC-Oakwood.

Mr. Clifford was a native of Bedford County. He was a veteran of the Army and was retired from Faber-Castell Corporation after 50 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James William Clifford Sr. and Nola Lorene Jenkins Clifford; wife, Lula Clifford; and sister, Johnnie Mae Clifford.

He is survived by his brother, Charlie Lee Clifford of Lewisburg; two nieces; one nephew; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation with the family will take place from 2 until 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 2, from the chapel of Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home with Thomas B. Sumners officiating, followed by burial in Sunset Park Cemetery.
