Haskell Barlow, 98, of the Burristown Community of Jackson County, Tenn., died Wednesday, July 1, 2009, at Marshall Medical Center.
Mr. Barlow was a native of Overton County. He was a retired truck driver and carpenter, and was a member of the Burristown Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dillard and Hattie Loftis Barlow; wife, Mildred Norton Barlow; brother, Herbert Barlow; and sisters, Nannie Barlow Lawson and Margie Shehane.
He is survived by his sons, Howard (Heelan) Barlow of Nashville and Randy (Delores) Barlow of Cornersville; former daughter-in-law, Alice Barlow, and brother, Sim (Jewell) Barlow, all of Gainesboro; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and special friends who were closer than family, Richard and Wanda Scantland and their children and grandchildren, also of Gainesboro.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, July 3, at Anderson--Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro with Bro. Robert Boles and Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating, followed by burial in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in the Stone Community of Jackson County.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
