Miss Lewisburg preparations start

Wednesday, July 22, 2009

The Lewisburg Rotary Club Miss Lewisburg Scholarship Pageant preparations are underway, with the event just around the corner on Saturday, Sept. 12. The Miss Lewisburg Scholarship Pageant is the biggest event of the Lewisburg Rotary year and all hands are on deck to pull off another successful crowning - the 17th crowning of a Miss Lewisburg and Little Miss Lewisburg.

The first reception for the pageant contestants is less than a month away on Aug. 9, officially setting the stage for the event on Sept. 12. Between now and then, Rotary members will be selling ads for the programs, setting up concessions to be sold that evening, finding judges, securing prizes and gift bags, and selling tickets and advertising.

This is no small affair: it is the highlight of the Rotary season and the Club's biggest fundraiser. Rotary members are asked to see pageant directors Betsye Ledford, Nancy Pruitt, and Tammy McCullough to find out their assignments. It is never too early to get started on making the 17th Annual Miss Lewisburg Scholarship Pageant the best yet.
