A Marshall County man pleaded guilty Wednesday to a charge of making a false report to a sheriff's deputy in the spring last year.

Roger Clayton Parker, 48, pleaded guilty to Circuit Court Judge Robert Crigler on the charge filed by Sheriff's Detective Bart Fagan.

Parker reported to Deputy Lane Worsham that he was robbed and then stabbed when he knew that the complaint was false, Fagan wrote in Parker's arrest warrant for the May 7, 2008 incident.

"This is the third time he has made a similar report," Fagan said.

Crigler handed down a six-year sentence for Parker, but granted him 5-1/2-years probation after Parker completes a six-month term in custody.

Court records on Parker list at least two addresses for the convict. One was on James Shaw Road at Lewisburg. The other was at Caney Spring Road at Chapel Hill.
