Obituary: Ozell Tatum Dunnavant

Ozell Tatum Dunnavant, 92, died Monday, July 27, 2009, at Heritage Medical Center in Shelbyville.

Mrs. Dunnavant was born in Ardmore, Ala. She was a retired homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Emmer Atkisson Tatum; husband, David Kelly Dunnavant; sons, William "Bill" Dunnavant and John Robert Dunnavant; two grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren

She is survived by her sons, Clyde and James Dunnavant, both of Shelbyville, and Maylon Dunnavant of Lewisburg; daughter, Helen Dunnavant of Shelbyville; 27 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday, July 30, from the chapel of Carr and Erwin Funeral Home, followed by burial in Wright Cemetery.
