Josie Lou Poarch Talley, 72, of Lewisburg, died Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2009, in Maury Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Talley was a native of Lincoln County. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lillie Ball Poarch And Golie Poarch; son, Donald Holder; and other brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her loving husband of 18 years, Murray J. Talley, and sons, Tim and Terry Holder, all of Lewisburg; daughter, Patsy Holder of Cornersville; stepdaughters, Julie Ann Johnsey of Lewisburg and Joy Kathleen Walls of Belfast; sisters, Sue Barnes of Lewisburg and Alice Newton of Beech Hill; brothers, Thomas E. Poarch and Ned Poarch, both of Belfast; five stepgrandchildren, Timmy Hargrove, Michael Hargrove, Lisa Graves, Jon Walls, and Brandi Nicole Walls; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, from the chapel of Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home, followed by burial in Lone Oak Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, and on Saturday one hour prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Alan Johnsey, Terry Pollock, Bobby Wiser, Shannon Walls, Stanley Harwell, and Billy Wayne Vestal.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Bradford, Mike Ivey Johnson, Don Wright, Sam Shelton and Mike Keny.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, the Humane Society or the Goodwill Organization.
