The Farmers Market's Tuesday hours are now 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Fridays will remain the same: 6 a.m. until noon.

A Work Ethic Training Course, taught by Betsye Ledford of Ledford Employee Exchange, is being offered as a part of Ratchet Up Marshall County, sponsored by South Central Tennessee Workforce Board. This four-hour course will cover work ethic in the workplace. Employers can have employees sign up for the course and need only to pay the employees for the four-hour class in order to meet the match of the Ratchet Up grant funding. Sept. 1

The Marshall County College Fair will be held at Marshall County High School from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1. Parents and interested students from all three high schools are invited to attend. Representatives from colleges, universities, technical schools and the military will be available to share information with students.


Signups are being held for a conference for seniors that will be held Sept. 3-4 in Murfreesboro. Topics include disaster preparedness, legal planning and nutrition. Sign up at the Senior Citizen Center office. Transportation might be provided pending the number of locals who sign up for the event.


The September CHYFL board meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, at the Chapel Hill Fire Hall. This meeting is open to the public.
