The Farmers Market's Tuesday hours are now 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Fridays will remain the same: 6 a.m. until noon.

Marshall County Memorial Library hours are: Mondays and Tuesdays from 10 a.m.-7:30 p.m.; Wednesdays from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; Thursdays from 9 a.m.-7:30 p.m.; Fridays from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.; and Saturdays from 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

There will be a Special Called Meeting of the Marshall County Board of Education at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, at the Central Office, 700 Jones Circle, Lewisburg, to discuss the budget. This meeting will be immediately followed by a Work Session of the board.

The Farmington United Methodist Church is holding a One-Night Revival, starting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26. Bro. Bill Mathis will be preaching, the Berlin Charge Gospel Choir will sing, and the United Methodist Women will provide the food. Everyone is welcome.

Sept. 1

The Marshall County College Fair will be held at Marshall County High School from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1. Parents and interested students from all three high schools are invited to attend. Representatives from colleges, universities, technical schools and the military will be available to share information with students.


The Industrial Development Board of the City of Lewisburg will hold their regular monthly meeting at noon Wednesday, Sept. 2, at the City Hall, 131 East Church Street.


The Marshall County Board of Education will hold a work session with the NAACP on Thursday, Sept. 3 at 6 p.m. in the Central Office, 700 Jones Circle.


Signups are being held for a conference for seniors that will be held Sept. 3-4 in Murfreesboro. Topics include disaster preparedness, legal planning and nutrition. Sign up at the Senior Citizen Center office. Transportation might be provided pending the number of locals who sign up for the event.


The September CHYFL board meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, at the Chapel Hill Fire Hall. This meeting is open to the public.

The Marshall County Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a workshop entitled "Small Business Survival in Tough Economic Times" at noon at the Lewisburg Gas Department on Thursday, Sept. 24.
