Harold "Hal" Dennis, 50, of Shelbyville, died Sunday, Aug. 23, 2009, at Heritage Medical Center.

Mr. Dennis was a native of Shawnee, Okla. He was a retired automaker with General Motors.

He was preceded in death by his father, Franklin Dennis.

He is survived by his wife, Laura Dennis of Shelbyville; daughters, Christina Moore of Shelbyville and Christal Dennis of Unionville; son, Chris Langley of New Castle, Okla.; mother, Nona Wallis Dennis of Eufaula, Okla.; sister, Deniece Munoz of Oklahoma City; brothers, Ricky Dennis of New Castle, Okla. and Jerry Dennis of Oklahoma City; and five grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 28, from 4 until 8 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home, followed by burial at Simpson Cemetery in the Rover Community of Bedford County.
