The Farmers Market's Tuesday hours are now 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Fridays will remain the same: 6 a.m. until noon.

The Industrial Development Board of the City of Lewisburg will hold their regular monthly meeting at noon Wednesday, Sept. 2, at the City Hall, 131 East Church Street.


The Marshall County Board of Education will hold a work session with the NAACP at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, in the Central Office, 700 Jones Circle, Lewisburg.

The Town of Cornersville will have its regular meeting of the Board of Mayor and Alderman on 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3 at City Hall.

The Marshall County Retired Teachers will meet at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, at First National Bank, Lewisburg.


Signups are being held for a conference for seniors that will be held Sept. 3-4 in Murfreesboro. Topics include disaster preparedness, legal planning and nutrition. Sign up at the Senior Citizen Center office. Transportation might be provided pending the number of locals who sign up for the event.


The office of City Hall in Cornersville will be closed on Monday, Sept. 7, in observance of Labor Day. The office will reopen at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8.

The Town of Chapel Hill City Offices will be closed on Monday, Sept. 7, in observance of Labor Day. The offices will reopen on Tuesday, Sept. 8. Office hours are 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m.

All Lewisburg city offices will be closed on Monday, Sept. 7, in observance of Labor Day. The Monday garbage route will be picked up Tuesday.

The Library will be closed for the Labor Day Holiday on Saturday, Sept. 5 and Monday, Sept. 7.

The Marshall County Board of Public Utilities, 624 W. Commerce St., Lewisburg, will be closed Monday, Sept. 7.


The JECDB Full Board Committee of the Marshall County Joint Economic and Community Development Board will meet at noon Tuesday, Sept. 8, at the Town Hall in Petersburg.

The Lewisburg Water and Sewer Board will meet at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, at 100 Water St., Lewisburg.

The Marshall County Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a workshop entitled "Small Business Survival in Tough Economic Times" at noon Thursday, Sept. 24, at the Lewisburg Gas Department. Call the Marshall County Chamber of Commerce at 359-3863 to reserve your seat. There is a fee and at least 15 people must sign up in order to hold the workshop.

The Marshall County Child Development Center will hold a skate night at the We Skate Center, 1635 New Columbia Hwy., from 6-8:30 p.m. Half the evening's proceeds will go toward the center.
