Alice in Wonderland, the tale that plays with logic in ways that have given it immortal popularity, opens at the Marshall County Community Theatre on the Friday evening of Sept. 25.
With a cast of 26 children ranging in ages from eight to 13, the show directed by Carol Bennington with musical assistance from Tim Pate, is seen as a major attraction on Lewisburg's public square through the closing matinée on Oct. 4.
Tickets will be on sale soon at the box office on Church Street and from cast members.
Children to be featured in the play include: Leah Hollingsworth, Mara Polston, Gracie Butt, Kali Luna, Lauren Donahue, Lydia Polston, Marti Sullivan, Monica Lee, Madeline Lewis, Kennedy Alexander, Rheagan Jeter, Gabriella Norton, Abbey Cross, Chloe Baxter, Callie Johnson, Anthony Karban, Rain Janeck, Ben Johnson, Savannah Gipson, Kiersten Shortridge, Madison Newberry, Izzabella Brand, Emma Butt, Matthew Karban, Jamie May and Christian Braden.
Show dates are Sept. 25 and 26, and Oct. 2 and 3 at 7:30 p.m., and on Sept. 27 and Oct. 4 at 2 p.m.
The children are to "hit the stage singing and dancing," according to a prepared release from the theater's staff.
