Obituary: Ernestine Townsend

Ernestine Townsend, 78, of Lewisburg, died Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009, at her residence.

Mrs. Townsend was a native of Marshall County. She was retired from Genesco and was a member of the Westvue Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mable Crabtree Ervin; husband, George Townsend Jr.; and brother, Clyde Ervin.

She is survived by two sons, Lyndall Haislip of Lewisburg and Rickie Joe Haislip of Park City; two daughters, Mary Sue Barnes and Shirley King, both of Lewisburg; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were conducted Monday, Sept. 21, at Lone Oak Cemetery.

London Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
