Obituary: Hoyle Davis Wilson

Hoyle Davis Wilson, 80, of Lewisburg, died Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, at his residence.

Mr. Wilson was a native of Marshall County. He operated the family-owned Barber Shop on Commerce Street and was the Barber Shop Inspector for the State of Tennessee for 10 years. He was also a referee for TSSAA football and basketball, and was a member of Church Street Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Benton and Sara Frances Davis Wilson.

He is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn Wilson of Lewisburg; son, Danny Wilson of Lewisburg; daughter, Diane Lazaro of Chicago, Ill.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted by Billy Ross Tankersley and Robert Payne Hardison on Tuesday, Sept. 22, from the chapel of London Funeral Home, followed by burial in Lone Oak Cemetery.

The pallbearers were Bill Bryan, Dennis Holly, Ronald McRady, Donald McRady, Glenn McDaniel, and Jimmy Wolaver.

The honorary pallbearers were Phil Sanders, Bill Ezell, Bobby Cowser, Johnny Thompson, Tommy Crawford, Paul Tyree, and Bus Lowe.
