Obituary: Thomas Calvin Uselton

Thomas Calvin " Bill" Uselton, 71, of Town Creek, Ala., formerly of Lewisburg, died Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, at his residence.

Mr. Uselton was born in Marshall County. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Uselton was a Captain with the Lewisburg Fire Department and retired after 30 years of service. He was a member of Parkview Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death his parents, James Buford and Mattie Sue Isley Uselton; grandson, Jeremy Uselton; and brother, James Robert "Junior" Uselton.

He is survived by his wife, Rochelle Farlow Uselton of Town Creek, Ala.; sons, Thomas Keith Uselton of Town Creek and Carey (Patty) Uselton of Murfreesboro; sisters, Louise England and Mary Lee Foster, both of Lewisburg; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Woodford officiating, followed by burial in Swanson Cemetery, Chapel Hill.
