Bert D. Reynolds, 71, of Lewisburg, died Monday, Sept. 21, 2009.
Mr. Reynolds was a native of Iowa City, Iowa. He was a graduate of the University of Arkansas where he received both his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees. He was a retired horticulturist and instructor at Louisiana State University. Mr. Reynolds was a veteran of the Army and a member of Caney Springs Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Galen and Ethel Moore Reynolds.
He is survived by his wife, Linda T. Reynolds of Lewisburg; daughters, Deidre (Richard) Phillips of Fayetteville, Ark., Christine (Robert) Fabre of Denham Springs, La., and Deborah (Richard) Beu of Spring Hill; sons, Daniel (Jerri) Reynolds of Fayetteville, Ark., Charles (Debra Jo) Cook of Pipestone, Minn., and Paul Cook of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; sister, Mary Newkirk of West Fork, Ark.; brother, Morris Reynolds of Golden, Colo.; and 12 grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3 until 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, at Lawrence Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 26, from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Stephen McCollum officiating, followed by burial with military honors in Swanson Cemetery.
