Obituary: Louise Shankle

Louise Shankle, 78, of Chapel Hill, died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009, at NHC Oakwood in Lewisburg, following an extended illness.

Mrs. Shankle was born in Bon Aqua. She was a homemaker and a member of Chapel Hill Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband, N. C. Shankle of Chapel Hill; sons, Alan Shankle of Madison, Tenn. and Tony Shankle of Chapel Hill; daughters, Cecilia Dunn of Weslaco, Texas, and Pam Burrows of Ardmore, Ala.; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm Friday, Sept. 25, from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Stan Butt Jr. officiating, followed by burial in Swanson Cemetery.
