Fannie B. Turner, 89, died Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009, at her home in Shelbyville.
She was baptized in the Church of God and later moved her membership to the Greater First Baptist Church in Lewisburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Della Nance Turner and William Bill Turner, granddaughter Jacquelia Benita O'Neal, one granddaughter and a nephew.
She is survived by a daughter, Juanita Whitaker, granddaughters Rita Jones and Doris Harris, grandson Tommy Lee Harris, 12 great-grandchildren, two nieces, two nephews, and other relatives and friends.
She will lie in state Friday, Oct. 2, from 1-6 p.m. at Lewisburg Family Life Center in Lewisburg. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at Greater First Baptist Church with Pastor William Herbert Johnson officiating. Family hour will be from noon-1 p.m. Burial will follow at Cook Memorial Cemetery in Lewisburg.
