The Young Farmers and Ranchers of Marshall County will have a Haunted Woods every Friday and Saturday night in October from 7 until 11 p.m. at the Strasser Farm, 1.5 miles east of the Chapel Hill Post Office. The Marshall County Memorial Library will resume its 55-hour schedule beginning Monday, Oct. 12: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m to 7:30 p.m.; Wednesday and Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.


The Police Advisory Board will hold their regular monthly meeting at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, at the Police Department, 101 Water Street, Lewisburg.

The Shelbyville Retired Telecom Pioneers will meet for lunch at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, at Richard's Cafeteria, Shelbyville. All telephone company retirees (AT&T, BellSouth, etc.) who live in the areas of Fayetteville, Lewisburg, Manchester, Shelbyville, Tullahoma and Winchester are invited. The office of City Hall in Cornersville will be closed on Monday, Oct. 12, in observance of Columbus Day. The office will re-open at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13.

All Lewisburg City Offices will be closed Monday, Oct. 12, in observance of Columbus Day, with the exception of Lewisburg Electric System. The Monday garbage route will be picked up the following Tuesday.

The October CHYFL board meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, at the Chapel Hill Fire Hall. This meeting is open to the public.


Tennessee Voices for Children support group for parents who have children with a mental health issues such as ADHD, bipolar disorder, autism and emotional problems will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, at First Assembly of God on West Ellington Parkway.
